Balneology is the science dealing with the use and effects of medicinal waters in spas. When we bathe in ordinary water, its factors (pressure, temperature, buoyancy) affect our body. We exploit the "power" of these effects in hydrotherapy, also known as hydrotherapy. In the case of medicinal waters, the effects described above are complemented by the effects of the substances found in the dissolved state in the medicinal water.
